Melissa Ruthenbeck-Chiaramonte, CDBC, CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA, Certified Behavior Consultant and Trainer
I specialize in helping families free themselves from the stress, anxiety, fear and guilt that can come with living with an aggressive, fearful or anxious dog. When you brought your dog (or new puppy) home you had a vision of what your life together would look like, and I can help you get there!
Luckily we have a come a long way in the understanding of dog behavior and know that you don’t need to intimidate or punish your dog into (fearfully) behaving the way you want. You’ll only find effective, scientifically proven, positive techniques and expert, realistic support you can trust here. No judgement.

I’m happy to join the ranks of behavior consultants who have been professionally certified to address serious behavior issues such as aggression, separation anxiety and fear (there are only about two dozen of us in the entire state of North Carolina)! When I’m not helping clients change their lives and the lives of their pups you can often find me at home in Efland with my husband, Paul, our basset puppy, Clementine, and our farm of (mostly) rescued chickens, geese, ducks, cats, goats, sheep and our two amazing livestock guardian dogs, Pickles and Morty, who amaze me daily with the power of canine instinct!
