In-home
training allows you to work with your dog in your home, the setting in
which many behavior problems occur. Sessions can also be held at other
locations if your dog is experiencing issues outside of the home. The
one-on-one attention of your trainer will ensure you are building a
healthy, loving bond with your dog, as well as achieving your training
goals.
Training is customized to the needs of you and your
dog; we can work with your entire family, provide refresher courses and
accommodate owners who can't take part in every session. Day, evening
and weekend sessions are available. Sessions are typically one hour
once per week. The number of sessions needed varies based on your
goals; a full course of basic obedience is usually 6 sessions while
housetraining issues can generally be addressed with one session. The new, 9 session package allows us to work on more advanced training or training around higher distraction levels.

Basic Obedience
Tired
of your dog not listening to you? Maybe you just got your puppy or
adopted a dog from the pound. Help them put their best paw forward with
basic obedience training. Basic obedience training includes commands
like name response, come, sit, down, stay, walk on leash, off and
place. Obedience training helps your dog learn to listen to your
instructions, even when around distractions. I will teach you how to
communicate effectively with your dog and get the results you want.
Techniques are based on positive reinforcement and use treats, toys,
play, attention, praise and other rewards to teach your dog in a way
that is both fun and effective. Trick training, refresher courses and
advanced obedience training is also available.
Behavior Issues
Having trouble housetraining your puppy? Can’t figure out how to get
Fido to stop jumping on guests? I can help. Training is available for
behavior issues such as housetraining, jumping, play biting, excessive
barking, pulling, chewing, separation anxiety, fears, certain types of
aggression and more. Behavior issue training focuses on teaching your
dog appropriate behaviors while eliminating undesirable ones so you and
your dog can live together happily.
Socialization
Socialization
is key to a happy and well-adjusted dog. In order to be confident in
his or her new world your puppy must experience a wide variety of
situations while young. Meeting people and dogs of all shapes and sizes is vital. Busy schedule? I can help you and your puppy
get off to a good start. I will take your puppy out into the world and
provide positive and exciting new experiences. This program is also
available for adult dogs in need of socialization.
